Network Reading List for the Linux & Unix System
Administrator
Even if you work in a shop that has a dedicated network
group that takes care of the network infrastructure, you
will still need to understand a lot of how networks
functions. Do not expect your local network administrator
to have a lot of understanding of what goes on inside the
machines you are responsible for. You also need to be able
to do basic network trouble-shooting, so you only ask the
networking group for help when the problem is really in
their court.
